Learners’ Data Collection Policy
The IT department is responsible for secure collection and storage of the learners’ data.
1. Collection, Storage, Use, and Disclosure of Student Data
The responsible personnel shall not collect, store, or use learner’s data except as needed for authorized educational purposes.
The data shall not be disclosed to any third party unless:
Such third parties process the data on our behalf,
The disclosure is required by law, or
The disclosure is made at the request of the user for educational purposes.
The responsible personnel shall not:
Use any learner’s data for targeted advertising.
Make learner’s profiles for advertising or for any other non-educational purpose.
Sell the data for any purpose.
2. Security of the data
The responsible personnel shall protect the data using relevant security measures, including encryption, and disclose the information only to third parties that are contractually obligated and able to maintain its confidentiality and security.
3. Retention of the data
The responsible personnel shall not retain the data longer than needed for the educational purposes. The responsible personnel shall also delete Student Data upon valid request of the applicable user.
4. De-Identified data
The responsible personnel may use de-identified data for product development, research, and other purposes. This data shall not include any Identifying Information, nor any links to such information. The responsible personnel shall not attempt to re-identify any de-identified data and shall prohibit any recipients of the de-identified data from attempting to re-identify individuals.
